If you owned a Rolls Royce, (yes, we can all dream) would you REALLY take it to a local back street garage for a service, when it makes more sense to visit the specialist dealer who understands that particular model of vehicle extremely well, and has the exact tools to do the best job?   

Whilst many brokers may 'dabble' in private medical insurance and other such products, here at HIB we SPECIALISE in this area and have a vast range of knowledge and experience.   

Thanks to our access to the whole of the market, including several 'niche' providers, we can find the most appropriate product to suit both your requirements and budget - whilst making sure you and your colleagues are not disadvantaged in any way.  We also have a number of deals with insurers that many brokers don't have access to!  However, even if you choose to remain with your existing insurer, it may still be possible for us to use our product expertise and market feedback to obtain a better premium on your behalf, and to renew the policy with minimal disruption.

We know first hand how the lack of treatment when it's needed can have a huge impact on all areas of a person's life, and there's never been a more crucial time to support the NHS by using the private sector for non-urgent surgery etc.

As an example of how much our clients mean to us, our MD was asked by a customer if his PMI would cover his son for an embarrassing puberty related problem.  Unfortunately the treatment required would have been classed as cosmetic, and therefore excluded by all insurers.  However, she was aware that the client's son felt like he was the only one with this condition, and when she spotted a programme in the TV listings about this very same issue, she took time out of a busy Saturday evening to contact the client and let him know about it, so the son didn't feel so isolated. 

That said, don't worry, out of hours calls are obviously not the norm, so we won't be bothering you over Sunday lunch, but please do feel free to get in touch anytime. We promise not to bamboozle you with jargon and we're actually very friendly... x

Hello, and THANKS for visiting our website!

I started work in the employee benefits sector back In February 1988 (sadly yes, I'm THAT old!)  and I've seen all sides of the industry.

Having worked for a health cash plan for 17 years, I was invited to become a specialist broker with a company who had previously been a client of mine.  I then played an integral part in growing their Private Medical Insurance book from around £250k to circa £2.5 million API.

That business was acquired by a MUCH larger organisation, and I felt the personal touch was most definitely lost.  This led me to to change direction slightly and I began working for insurers in the industry, which gave me a wider perspective of how they operate.

I'm delighted to be back to broking as it's DEFINITELY where my heart lies.  Getting to know my customers and their requirements is what I thrive upon, and I look forward to hopefully getting to know YOU too...!

I'm a member of both the FSB and the local Chamber of Commerce and I enjoy spending time with my husband and several pet dogs. 

I'm also a part-time canine psychologist, and I run a small local business called Doggy Dilemmas. (www.doggydilemmashull.co.uk), as well as having written a book about my pooch related experiences.
